Market Comment

We are excited by the number of new homes we have sold across the South of England and London in 2009. Prices are lower than they were when the market peaked but developers have responded to the changing market place by adjusting prices and we are experiencing a shortage of good quality new homes in many locations!

Buyers who are trading upwards are finding that the gap between the price that they sell for and the price they need to pay for their new home is smaller than it was in 2007/8.

We are finding that buyers are attracted to new homes because of the increasingly high standards of insulation both in respect of heat and sound. There are welcome savings in fuel bills compared with older homes. Needless to say 10 year guarantees reassure purchasers.
