Market CommentThe last quarter of 2006 showed some strong performance both in sales and new instructions from Developers across the region. There is good optimism both within the industry and also within the private and investor market which bodes well for the start of 2007. Modest increases in interest rates have not had a dramatic effect on activity levels and in fact we may have seen a boost in activity due to some price adjustments during the course of 2006. There continues to be strong demand for 2 and 3 storey housing with the apartment market becoming more sensitive to pricing and location due to the ready supply. Demand from larger and smaller investors continues to be strong particularly in cities where there is a good student population.
